To be eligible to apply for the Health for Armenia Fellowship, candidates must have:
1) Successfully graduated from a medical school recognized and licensed by the Republic of Armenia Ministry of Education (or the equivalent in the case of physicians who have been licensed abroad)
2) Successfully completed, or are in the final year of completing, a family medicine residency program
3) Complied with the requirements of the Certificate of Continuing Medical Education (CME)/Continuing Professional Development
4) Fluency in Armenian with strong oral and written language skills
5) An intermediate knowledge of English
6) The ability and willingness to commit to the program and its requirements
A commitment to the concept of equitable access to health care for the entire population
Foundational understanding of leadership qualities
Outstanding academic, professional and volunteering achievements
Critical thinking skills and the ability to solve complex problems even in the face of uncertainty
Ability to adjust to changes and willingness for continuous learning and professional growth
Organizational and managerial skills
Enthusiastic, eager to learn, and flexible
